In the digital era, people and businesses using different type of information and communication technology (ICT) to support their daily lives. With ICT, the individual can communicate with other using multi platforms applications and company can make the business easier with client and business partner. Nowadays COVID-19 pandemic has led global community to perform many more things remotely, including socialize, shopping, learning, working and worship.
The pandemic affected every area of life and at the same time bring in a new way of how ICT integrates into our daily lives. This rapid shift pushed many parties, including leaders, organizations, businesses, communities, and individuals to adapt with new norms of performing daily activities and responsibilities. This pandemic also opened new opportunity to research community especially to Information Systems research field to come out with latest solutions and adjustments to this new form of interacting with technology and people.
International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS) was founded in 2009 as a biennial event by the prestigious Information & Service Systems Innovation Research Group (ISSIRG), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Following previous successes of ICRIIS, ISSIRG is once again will organize the 7th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RESEARCH AND INNOVATION IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ICRIIS) in 2021 in the new norms via virtual online conference.
The theme for ICRIIS 2021 is “Distancing and Connecting Through Digital Technology” which is aligned with the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic which emphasis on adjustment of ICT to the new way our lives, work and interactions with other people.
Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
